In the 2020 presidential election, Philadelphia emerged as a pivotal player in the victory of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. The significance of this electoral triumph was magnified when our nation faced a severe test of its democracy in early 2021, marked by an insurrection fueled by the rhetoric of former President Donald Trump. With another general election on the horizon this fall, the prospect of a rematch between Biden and Trump becomes increasingly more likely. As an open ward, the 2nd Ward Democrats honor democratic processes to guide our decision-making.
