A strong advocacy for properly school funding. He made investment in public education and higher ed a priority for fiscal year 2020-21 and is committed to reinstating charter school reimbursements to recoup $225 million for the Philadelphia School District, as well as taxing Marcellus Shale drilling to further fund schools.
