The Second Ward Democrats endorse Brian Kisielewski, a caring and serious lawyer who was the founder of the Elder Justice & Civil Resource Center and Board Member of Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts. The Elder Justice & Civil Resource Center is a court-based resource center in City Hall that offers free legal assistance in civil matters for people over 60. He served as a judicial clerk, a staff attorney in the PCRA & Habeas Corpus Appeals Unit where he reviewed post-conviction petitions, and currently serves as pro bono counsel at Faegre Drinker.
