2nd Ward Democrats Condemn Attack Mailer

The Second Ward condemns the recent mailers sent by the dark money group, A Greater Philadelphia, and calls on the Philadelphia Democratic Party and its chairperson, Bob Brady, to do the same.

The mailers, attacking State Representatives Elizabeth Fiedler, Rick Krajewski, and Christopher Rabb, show a handgun pointing at the heads of these elected representatives. As Philadelphia faces a gun-violence crisis, these mailers have the potential to incite violence against members of the progressive movement. A Greater Philadelphia’s targeting of Representatives Fiedler, Krajewski, and Rabb is beyond the pale and has no place in Democratic politics.

If A Greater Philadelphia truly wanted to address gun violence in Philadelphia, they would support calls for quality education, fair wages, criminal justice reform, and safe and stable housing for all Philadelphians.

We call on Chairperson Bob Brady, the Philadelphia Democratic Party, and all Democratic candidates to denounce A Greater Philadelphia’s smear campaign.
